Free tickets to see an undefeated Liverpool Premier League football team are on offer for this weekend... Liverpool Ladies FC, currently riding high at the top of the FA Tesco Women’s Premier League, Northern Division, play a derby match against Curzon Ashton Ladies this Sunday (November 15). And there will be no charge for admission to the Tameside Stadium in Greater Manchester. Curzon Ashton hope the initiative, made possible by additional backing by their sponsors, will help to promote Premiership level ladies football to the wider public, as well as the local schools and girls teams who currently receive free admission. Cheshire-based school uniform and sportswear manufacturers Sportswear International, who regularly sponsor the club, have asked that the stadium to be open to give people the chance to see ladies football of an exceptional standard. Youth development officer for Curzon Ashton, Mark Bradshaw said: “This match should provide great entertainment as Liverpool have a number of international players, including Cheryl Foster, Emily Brown, Katy Williams and sisters, Vicky and Kelly Jones, together with our own Kellie Leyland and Amanda Goodwin. "It promises be a really exciting local derby needle-match and we hope as many people as possible will come along and enjoy the game and facilities. And if any currently disillusioned Liverpool FC fans wish to come along they would be made most welcome!" Unlike their male counterparts, Liverpool LFC have won the first ten matches of this season and are five points ahead at the top of their division, with Curzon Ashton being nine places behind them. The match starts at 2pm on Sunday (15th November), with free admission, at the Tameside Stadium in Richmond Street, Ashton-under-Lyne, OL7 9HG. Click here for your free Liverpool Match Tickets |
